Nearly 400 guests gathered at the Cohen Pavilion, Kravis Center on May 8th to network and recognize colleagues for building housing that is financially feasible and sustainable for all Palm Beach County residents. Diamond Sponsor JPMorgan Chase, as well as Silver Sponsors Florida Power & Light Company and BankUnited joined with a broad range of other sponsors to validate the importance of continuing to highlight workforce and affordable housing as a pressing issue to be addressed in Palm Beach County. The Showcase display engaged attendees in the completed and “in the works” workforce and affordable housing developments throughout the county. HLC Consultant Christina Romelus’ data summary stimulated further discussion and feedback from municipalities. There was great spirit in the room and award winners were genuinely surprised!
Keynote Speaker Jonathan L. Wolf, Founder and CEO of Wendover Partners LLC, shared lessons and provided inspiration to everyone in both the public and private sectors, to think harder, dig deeper and try more to move beyond the established ways of doing things so that we can achieve better results and produce more workforce and affordable housing. He shared lessons, dissected the obstacles encountered, and outlined the steps and persistence necessary to overcome them, which provided an inspiration to all.
