This award recognizes an individual, municipality or organization demonstrating outstanding commitment, effectiveness, and/or creativity in meeting housing-related needs through one or more projects or specific programs over an extended period of time or a career.
Special consideration will be given to nominations meeting the following criteria:
- Substantially completed a new housing development with a significant component of workforce/affordable housing or that particularly addresses a pressing housing need.
- Uses creative financing products and outreach to provide housing in a targeted community.
- Developed and implemented an innovative policy tool to promote the production of workforce/affordable housing within the community.
- Preserves an existing endangered workforce/affordable housing development or ensures preservation of affordable/workforce/attainable housing product which would be otherwise lost or converted to another use
