Patrick McNamara joined Palm Health Foundation in 2017 as President and CEO. He has spent the past 25 years in the nonprofit health and human services sector, including 18 years with Community Partners where he also served as President and CEO. He is an experienced non-profit administrator, social worker, and developer of resources in multiple arenas. Mr. McNamara is licensed in Clinical Social Work with 17 years of management experience and currently leads the Senior Leadership Team at the foundation. He holds a Master of Social Work from Tulane University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Franciscan University, and he attended Georgetown University for three years. To build on his leadership skills, he completed an executive fellowship at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government from 2012-13 called Achieving Excellence. He is an active advocate on child, family and community issues, as well as on health and housing issues.
He is an alumnus of Leadership Palm Beach County (Class of 2008), member of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, board member for the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and has been an adjunct professor at the graduate School of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. He received the Leadership Excellence Award in 2013 from Leadership Palm Beach County, the Alumni Citizenship Award from Franciscan University in 2014, and the Nonprofit Executive of the Year Award from Nonprofits First in 2018. Born and raised in New Orleans, he is a Saints fan, avid reader, and proud father of three children.
